Goal #1 : Graduate with a Bachelor's in Organizational Leadership - Project Management
My biggest goal is to graduate with a Bachelor's in Organizational Leadership - Project Management in May of 2023 from Arizona State University Online. I will be the first of my family to obtain a bachelor's degree, and I feel honored that it is with this degree because I am so passionate about the project management industry. I have spent the last two years in this degree, and I have enjoyed every minute and ounce of education I have obtained from this course of study.
Goal #2 : Find opportunities to gain experience in a leadership position or project management position
I am actively looking and preparing myself to step into a leadership or project management position to begin gaining more real-time experience of these professions. In these positions, I will be taking the knowledge I have learned throughout my organizational leadership degree and putting them into effect in real life to begin to see what works and tweak my own processes to continue learning how to be an effective leader. I have already began to apply for these positions, and my goal is to be in one of these positions by July of 2023.
Goal #3 : Become a Certified Project Manager through the Project Management Institute
After graduating, I plan on looking into how to get certified as a project manager through the Project Management Institute. I will then make a plan to help me stay on track to obtaining this certification by January of 2024. This goal will help me to be more qualified to obtain a project management position
Goal #4 : Take extra courses that enhance my leadership skills
Throughout the summer of 2023, my goal is to attend at least one leadership seminar as well as take two courses by the end of 2023 that help enhance my leadership skills. I believe continuous learning and improvement is what makes an effective leader. Being self-aware in areas I am lacking and taking courses to build those skills up is how I will continue to be an exceptional leader throughout my professional career.
